Hello everyone and welcome to my page! I thought I would use this section to tell you all a little bit about myself and the aim of my blog!

WHY HISTORY?

The aim of the blog is really to try and get as many people as possible interested in history. As a Classics graduate, I really do feel like History is becoming increasingly marginalised and that humanities subjects as a whole are being viewed as a waste of time. A lot of people ask me why I bother with history and view it as kinda boring! I want to change this perception and create a blog which not only discusses history, but does so in a fun and engaging way which is accessible to everyone. So that is it really, I am trying to make history fun again! I hope you enjoy and stick around for the journey!

ABOUT ME!

I am a recent postgraduate from Edinburgh University, graduating with an MSc in Classics. I have always loved history and I honestly don’t think I can pick a favourite period – I love everything from the Ancient Greeks to the Tudors and beyond! I am a huge fan of fantasy, in particular J.R.R.Tolkien but I also love The Witcher, The Elder Scrolls, Harry Potter and much more. If you have any fantasy book recommendations or need any please do not hesitate to ask! I love reading, writing, Scuba Diving and generally living life to the full. I hope you enjoy my page as much as I enjoy writing it!
